america is not a gossip girl fan(part2)

La estrella de 'Ugly Betty' America Ferrera y Blake Lively de 'Gossip Girl' en el estreno de su peli juntas 'Uno para todas'.

Hace unas semanas mientras ambas estaban haciendo una entrevista, America puso caras raras y giraba los ojos cuando Blake hablaba de su serie, America dijo después que se debió a que estaba cansada de hacer tantas entrevistas ese día pero ahora parece que no es así... ella misma ha dicho:

"Las relaciones femeninas cercanas y genuinas no son los que generalmente se representa en las películas o series. Como, si estás viendo 'The Hills'o '90210', todas esas puñaladas por la espalda dan forma a la manera en la que actuamos, vas al colegio y piensas que tu trabajo es encontrar a una enemiga jurada y estar celosas la una de la otra. Es decir, quiero a Blake, es una maravilla de amiga mía, pero series como 'Gossip Girl' hacen que nos condicionen a ser malas".

Pues si eso no es una puñalada por la espalda no sé qué otra cosa será, y me parece a mí que en su propia serie 'Ugly Betty' también hay bastante de ello...

Some weeks ago while they were doing an interview, America put weird faces and rolled her eyes when Blake was talking about her tv show, America later said that it was because she was tired of making so many interviews that day but now it seems that it wasn't like that... she has said:

“Close, genuine female relationships are not what generally gets depicted in movies and TV shows. Like, if you’re watching The Hills or 90210, all the backstabbing shapes the way we act – you go to school, and you think your job is to find a sworn enemy and be jealous of each other. I mean, I love Blake, she’s a wonderful friend of mine, but shows like Gossip Girl kind of condition us to be mean.”

If that's not backstabbing I don't know what it is and I think that in 'Ugly Betty', her own tv show, is all about that too..
