Al principio de todo la madre y la hermana de Linds negaron que ella saliera con Sam pero ahora cada día están mas abiertas a la relación de ellas dos, tal como y dice Lilo:

"Nunca ha sido un problema. Estamos unidas; hemos pasado muchas cosas. Me apoyan si estoy con un chico o una chica. Simplemente me apoyan como persona."

Mientras que la madre de Lindsay dice:

"Ali conoce a Samantha desde hace mucho tiempo. Y ella opina que, 'Por cualquier cosa, la apoyaré. Probablemente nunca haga lo que estás haciendo, pero estoy feliz por ti'. Ali es muy madura.Le he dicho que está bien que te guste un chico o una chica si estás cómoda con ello y es algo que crees que quieres hacer. Le he dicho que no tenga miedo de quien quiera ser."

Está bien que la apoyen, pero porqué han de aclarar tantas veces que no les importa todo esto??

At first, Linds' mother and sister denied that she was dating Sam but they're everyday more open about their relationship, as Lilo says:

"It’s never really come up as an issue. We’re close; we’ve been through a lot. They’re supportive of me whether I’m with a guy or a girl. They’re just supportive of me as a person".

While Lindsay's mother says:

"Ali’s known Samantha for a really long time. And she’s like, ‘Whatever it is, I support you. I probably won’t ever do what it is you’re doing, but I’m happy for you.’ Ali’s very mature. I’ve told her that it’s okay to like a boy or a girl if you’re comfortable with it and it’s something you believe you want to do. And I told her not to be afraid of who she wants to be."

It's OK that they support her but why do they have to make clear so many times that all this doesn't matter to them??
